2002-2004 ARSENAL HOME FOOTBALL SHIRT
The Arsene Wenger era at Arsenal will always be remembered for the accomplishment of the Invincibles, the only team to ever finish unbeaten in the brutally competitive English Premier League, but the peak of the Wenger era was about much more than just that season of perfection.
The Gunners of the mid-2000s played with a style and flair that won over a generation of fans who preferred the speed and skill of Wenger’s best teams to the more traditional rough-and-tumble style that most Premier League teams were known for in that age.
Arsenal 2002-04 Home Shirt as worn by Henry during the campaign Arsenal were dubbed ‘The Invincibles’ as they became the first team in over a century to perform a ‘perfect’ unbeaten season. The sublime striker fired the side to glory as he became only the fourth player in Premier League history to reach the 30-goal mark in a single season and the first to win the PFA Players’ Player of the Year in consecutive seasons.
That era, from 2000 to 2005, saw the Gunners win two Premier League titles, and three FA Cup titles, and while they never won the Champions League title (losing in the 2006 final to Barcelona), that Arsenal team still left a lasting impression for the style it played with, and the way it made watching soccer entertaining in a way few teams before or since have been able to.
